Winter Wedding Sneak Peek!

This weekend was so fabulous. What a gorgeous wedding for Geoff and Sharon! Sharon's wedding "theme" was Winter Wonderland and boy did they ever get that! The wedding was in William's lake, about 6 hours north of Vancouver, and it was Winter there! So much snow! It was amazing.

This was definitely the coldest wedding I've ever been to, let alone photographed, and I probably will never shoot one in colder weather than this! haha. At one point I'm sure we hit -20 Celsius, and that was while we were still taking out pictures outside.

That's right, the bride and groom were so amazing and wanted their pictures taken outside no matter what. I love them for that! They will not regret it once they see their pictures. Holy moly was it ever stunning with the snow and the light reflecting off it. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. The photo location was in a family friend's back yard, but you would never know you were at someone's house. They had built a whole little village back there, like a western town. It had a prison, saloon, grocery store, chapel and a working mini train. At one point I was so into taking pictures of this stunning couple that I backed up into the train tracks and literally flew back in the air. Like my legs were above my head and I got some air, kind of thing. Not really my fault, I'm not so used to seeing train tracks in someone's back yard!

Anyway, Sharon, you were so stunning yesterday. Your make-up looked fabulous, as did your hair but since I did your hair I can't really say that since I'm biased! =) Your dress was phenomenal and your bridesmaids were amazing! Geoff, you weren't so bad looking yourself ;) Just kidding, you were so handsome and your group of men were a delight to have around!

Thank you so much for asking me to take these photos for you on your special day. I'm so honoured! And the dancing at your reception was killer! Loved it! I hope you enjoy these few pictures and have a fabulous time on your honeymoon!!

  1. They look awesome! Snowy wedding pictures are the best; we have friends who did wedding pictures outside in January and they are fabulous. Can't wait to see the rest of these!

  5. I remember being at Loon Lake when it was -20. How can they stand the cold in those clothes? That´s all I can think of.
